| Waar is de supermarkt? |
| Die is daar. |
| Once more with the English translation. |
| Waar is de supermarkt? |
| “Where is the supermarket?” |
| Die is daar. |
| “It's over there.” |
| First of all you'll need to learn how to say "Where is [place]?" |
| The pattern is: Waar is [place]? |
| "Where is [place]?". |
| For example: |
| "Where is the supermarket?" |
| Waar is de supermarkt?, Waar is de supermarkt? |
| Now, how do you answer this question? |
| Die is daar. |
| "It's over there." |
| Listen to it again: Die is daar., Die is daar. |
| This Dutch sentence translates as "That is there." But it means "It's over there." |
